Leviticus 20:13 states:
If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.
So the Bible tells us to kill gay people. That is a very good religion indeed!

What do you think about this? Should we organize a global hunt for homosexuals?I bet that we can organize some death-camps. And we can kill several millions homosexuals by the end of 2010. This is GOD's will!

God belss you, Christian brothers! Let's kill the sinners!

oh, come on. you can`t be that stupid to take a phrase out of its context and judge the entire Bible after that phrase, can`t you?
What about "love the ones that hate you" "do good to those who despise you"? these are all things stated in the Bible, things that i bet you can`t do from your own! You are very imature if you judge the Bible, only by this verse. I understand you need smth to feed up your already existing aversion towards it but you can`t be that imature, it`s foolish.

oh, my...
So, If I'm gay and I "love the ones that hate me", shall I let them follow the Bible say and kill me 'cause I love them, no?!
Well, I say there are enough quotes that put to shame your so called ultra-ethical book.
It's foolish to still believe in such a fraud. Enjoy your heaven! I'll definitely enjoy mine, whatever the hell that might be!

@gabi Hitler wanted his people to prosper and did many good things for Germany at the time. He actually loved his people, but he just had some issues with jews. We can't judge his entire personality by the things he did to the jews, right? I mean that's just ONE of his opinions.

Ok, what I'm trying to say here is that if a book tells people to love each other, respect thy neighbor, etc and after that it says "oh, and btw, kill gays, people that insult their parents and women who don't yell if raped inside of a city" you're not left with an excellent morality guide.

I certainly hope you are being sarcastic!

The same part of the Bible says, "If anyone curses his father or mother, he must be put to death. He has cursed his father or his mother, and his blood will be on his own head." (Leviticus 20:9)

I don't see anyone rushing out to enforce that.

These laws were given *for* a specific context, *in* a specific context and, as someone else has pointed out, need to be taken in the context of the rest of the Bible.

There are many Christians who believe that the Bible does *not* condemn same-sex relations in a committed, loving relationship - be careful to lump all Christians together.

I was being sarcastic.

Christianity is complex and each Christian is as different from the next one as any other human being. We are all individuals. And I do not judge Christianity (or religion) ad a whole. I only have a problem people who use religion in a wrong direction. I have a problem with people who use religion as an excuse for their discriminatory acts.

Thanks Cezar for clearing that up - that's what I thought - and I agree with you wholeheartedly about people using religion as an excuse for discrimination.
